Okay, so some people have been asking me what gear I use in Heights, so i figured I’d take some photos and put them up here:

Guitar:
ESP-LTD EC401 (Olympic White, Tuned to C# Standard)
First good guitar I’ve ever owned. It’s the special fucked up on tour/gaffer taped edition. I wish I had the money to get more, maybe a black one but for now this thing is getting me through shows.

Amp:
Blackstar Series One 1046L6
The best amp I’ve ever played through, we tried them out over at their offices and me and Dean were sold after one chord. I play all my rhythm on the “high gain” channel and use the crunch and clean channels for other softer stuff. Hasn’t let me down yet. Buy one.

Hardcase/Rack:
The guys over at Castle Cases made one of these each for me and Dean. It’s great for touring, keeps everything all in one place, protects everything (settings all stay the same) and I only have to plug 2 leads in before I play. It looks a bit ridiculous at the moment (my band let me know this all the time) because there’s a ton of un-used space in the rack. There’s a load of things I want to put in there eventually (MIDI switching, power conditioner etc) and I didn’t want to have to buy a new one if I ran out of space. It’s all a bit unnecessary but one day will be worth it.

Pedals:
Boss TU-2 Tuner
Maxon OD808 Overdrive
Boss DD-3 Delay
Boss RV-5 Reverb
Line 6 Relay G50 Wireless 

Everything here is mounted on a NSP pedal board. I don’t have a ton of pedals like Dean but I like what I’ve got. The Maxon made a huge difference to my entire sound, I don’t use it to to add drive, I have that set to 0, it just shapes the guitar signal before it hits the amp. Gives everything more bite. I’ve going to be upgrading my delay soon, I need something which I can set to an exact tempo for certain parts of our new album. Reverb’s good, does what you’d expect really. The wireless is cool, means we can go a bit wilder on stage, fair bit of money spent on this thing to replace the leads though.
